Mark Webb The Relationship Specialist
Mark Webb specializes in teaching people how to get their life back on track in the shortest amount of time possible and more importantly how to keep it on track.
His ability to quickly assess and grab hold of your challenge has been mastered as a result of his experience working in an inpatient psychiatric facility for nineteen years. He primarily worked with individuals who either just attempted suicide or who were considering suicide. Upon meeting each client, he taught them how to regain direction and a sense of hope in about a 3 to 5 day period. This is a tall order if you stop and think about it, but Mark has developed a system that gets results fast! His therapeutic skills have transitioned well into his private practice.
In traditional outpatient counseling, you don’t have the same pressures as with inpatient treatment. Mark noticed that most of his clients in his outpatient office also needed help immediately. Rather than bait his clients with eventual hope, he shows them how to gain fast relief.
Mark Webb was born and raised in Northeast Georgia. He moved to Valdosta, Georgia in 1984 in order to complete his studies in psychology. Upon his graduation from Valdosta State College in 1986, he began working at Greenleaf Center, a local inpatient psychiatric hospital.
Mark was fortunate that many of the senior therapists and psychiatrists took an interest in him. They taught him their greatest skills and directed him to the right books to read. This led to seminar attendance of the best therapists in the country. In the meantime, Mark obtained his Master’s Of Science in Family Sociology and an additional Post Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. He has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in private practice since 1996. He is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. His practice group, South Georgia Psychiatric and Counseling Center includes 4 psychiatrists and several licensed therapists.
Mark has a great marriage to his wife, Dorraine. They have 3 grown children. Mark has earned his 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo, and is a fifteen time World Champion in Taekwondo (** as of July 2016).
